Stocks edge up, 03/22

China's main stock index rose 0.45 percent yesterday as financials and
blue chips gained. The Shanghai Composite Index closed at 3.071.23, after
hitting an intra-day high of 3,099.82 in the afternoon. Gainers
outnumbered losers by 401 to 375.
Turnover in Shanghai A shares was very heavy at 11.26 billion yuan
yesterday, against 89.3 billion yuan on Wednesday.
